A good friend brings a smile to our faces and a bright spot to our day. Abbie is that ray of sunshine in Ruby’s life. Ruby finds the joy in every day she’s blessed to be alive and loves her buddy Abbie. They communicate in a very special way.
That’s because Ruby cannot walk or talk, but she definitely can giggle with her gal pal. There are fewer than 100 people in the world with H-ABC, which includes Ruby.
Hypomyelination with Atrophy of Basal Ganglia and Cerebellum robs Ruby of the simplest life functions and eventually will shrink her brain. But for now, she and Abbie simply share special moments together like the one Ruby’s mom captured below
