Elephants are very intelligent animals and solve big problems. They are also very caring and affectionate. So when an elephant is in need, others always come running to help it. Their loyalty means that they will always have the support of the other.
In the video below, a baby elephant falls into a waterhole and cannot get out. The mother’s maternal instincts kick in right away, but it won’t be easy. It will have to be creative.
She first tries to use her chest to pull the calf back, but it doesn’t work. So she goes to plan B. Where a mother elephant enters a drinking trough to push her baby from behind, and it works! But now my mom is stuck. She takes a moment to rest and gather, then be able to recover!
