This grandma unexpectedly lost her last dog about a year ago and decided she was ready to adopt a new puppy. But what she didn’t expect was her family surprising her with an adorable new puppy.
Losing a pet, especially when it’s unexpected, can be very difficult. Adopting a new pet may not replace your previous pet, but it does help fill the void with the loss of a pet’s leaves. In addition, the elderly often need and appreciate the affection and companionship of a dog.
Therefore, owning a dog can make a huge difference in their lives. This grandma decided she was ready to welcome a new dog into her home. Her family knew she desperately wanted a puppy. When her daughter and grandchildren saw the opportunity to have a puppy for her, they took advantage of it.
The family captured the surprise on camera, enjoying the grandma’s utter joy at receiving such a special and thoughtful gift. Her daughter walks into the room, noting that someone has decided they don’t want some of the things Grandma gave her. She has a box in her hands. Dadi looks confused, but says something like “Okay, well, give it here.”
The girl hands her mother a box which the grandmother immediately opens. Inside the box we see a blanket with an incredibly white and brown spotted little puppy. Her immediate reaction was to say “Oh my God”, but you can see the joy, shock and happiness on this grandmother’s face. Within moments, she was in tears. She was clearly overwhelmed with happiness that her family had given her such a meaningful gift.
She begins to cry with joy when she reaches the crate to pick up the puppy. She holds it to her chest, still crying, while holding her new dog’s head.
