The Humane Society of the United States raided a puppy farm that kept dogs in appalling conditions in a dark basement and dirty cages. The plant was located in Caparros County, North Carolina. Little BB is just one of 130 dogs who have lived miserable lives. She was brought up again and again, and when she was rescued she was visibly exhausted and traumatized.
But it was a good lucky dog day. She was about to leave this frightening past and get a second chance at life. Rescuers took her and took her outside where she had never been before. This was the first time she saw sunlight and she had to stare to adjust her eyes.
B.B. Now he is adjusting to a better life with a loving family. When I was first brought home, the exhausted dog slept for a week and a half to regain strength and clear her traumatized mind. She was skinny on her bones, but her new mom, Brenda Tortorio, helped her gain the weight she so desperately needed.
