David was selling his stuff in the back of his truck when he stopped to refuel.
To his surprise, it was Fox5 Surprise Squad from Las Vegas responsible for the video. The group planned to surprise a random person with a good deed.
In this case, the team intended to fill a random person’s car with gas. The lucky person was identified through a smartphone app called Periscope and eventually the public led the surprise team to David.
David was very grateful for this gesture. He told the team all about the trip to San Diego to meet his son. After hearing her story, Surprise Squad offered her $500 to complete her journey. David was close to tears of emotion when the team offered him the money.
The team also bought the rest of his possessions for $1,000, way more than they were worth.
“Are you serious?” David choked out to Fox5.
David was very happy to finally meet his son. He called her hastily and told her that their reunion would take place sooner than expected. He attributed his great wealth to the work of God.
Just before his flight, David was again invited to the Fox5 Surprise Squad Show. The band told David that was just to sum up his story, but they had another surprise up their sleeve. In the studio was his son!
