A home on the south side of Des Moines caught fire and firefighters arrived to help. The family was outside, but their two dogs were still at home. The first responders did what they could and were able to get Prince out of the burning house.
Unfortunately, the only dog died inside. But they immediately went to work to resurrect Prince and save his life! The dog was immediately taken to a vet for examination for smoke inhalation. Animal Rescue League Animal Services reported that Creature Comforts has made an effort to put her on their schedule and check it out by giving her a full exam and bath.
The family not only lost their dog, but also all of his belongings. But the family and Prince are safe.
“After the fire ended, one of the firefighters who saved Prince’s life looked for him to make sure he was really okay,” the Facebook post said. When the firefighter approached, Prince stood against him on his hind legs, as if to thank him. “Okay buddy,” the firefighter said, smiling as Prince snuggled up next to him. “This is how we want to see you. “
