In a surprising development, singer Kelly Clarkson finds herself entangled in a legal battle as she faces a lawsuit from Starstruck Management Group, a talent management agency. According to reports from Variety, Clarkson and the agency had an agreement, purportedly verbal, that stated the 38-year-old artist would pay a 15 percent commission on her gross earnings. However, Starstruck’s complaint alleges that despite Clarkson having paid $1.9 million to the company in 2020, she still owes an additional $1.4 million in unpaid commissions.

Founded in 1988, Starstruck Entertainment represents various figures in the music industry, including renowned artists like Blake Shelton, Brynn Cartelli, and Cale Dodds. Interestingly, the company is run by Narvel Blackstock, who happens to be the father of Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson and Blackstock tied the knot in 2013 but filed for divorce earlier this year, as reported by Variety.

Following the news of her divorce, Clarkson addressed the situation on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, expressing the challenges she was facing. Acknowledging the impact on her personal life, she emphasized the importance of protecting her children and their well-being, indicating that she would be cautious in discussing the matter publicly
