Reported by Inside Edition, local authorities in Maine responded to multiple calls about a dog stranded on a rooftop. Swiftly taking action, first responders hurried to the scene to rescue the trapped canine. It turned out that Jasper, the Alaskan husky, had cleverly climbed out of an upstairs window and onto the roof.

Firefighter Nawfel, in an unusual rescue scenario, successfully coaxed the adventurous dog back into the safety of the home.

During the rescue, Jasper expressed his gratitude by giving a sweet kiss to the firefighter captain!

The Wells Police Facebook page shared a video of the rescue in May 2018, gaining significant attention and admiration online. Viewers commended the firefighter for his heroic efforts, and many couldn’t resist commenting on the adorable nature of the husky.

Erin Fenderson, a witness to the incident, added a personal touch, stating, “This is my friend’s dog, his name is Jasper, and this is not the first time he has done this…he just loves to be outside, they must have forgotten to close the window….thanks for rescuing him!”

While the rescue video carried a lighthearted tone, it underscored the potential dangers for Jasper on the narrow rooftop ledge. Fortunately, the prompt response from the fire department ensured the safety of both Jasper and the dedicated firefighter
