No one should be forced to leave their pet behind. Now they don’t have to!
Hospice offers a better quality of life for those nearing the end.

Keeping dear family at dusk is important to many, as is the case with the companionship of pets, but leaving them behind when entering a shelter can be heartbreaking.

The disorder can be as traumatic to humans as it is to their animal companions.
Instead of forcing patients to worry about their pets’ future, an organization allows them to keep their pets close until the end and find loving homes for them afterward.

Because many patients consider their pets to be essential members of their family, the program is in place to recognize and validate this important part of the patient support network.

According to Healthy Food House, Pet Peace of Mind helps hospice facilities train volunteers to help their patients care for animals, provide seed funding for equipment and training, and advise each program for the pet program company that forms its network.

For many patients, keeping their pets close to them during the end-of-life journey and finding a home for their beloved pets after they die is one of the most important tasks to accomplish.
