An adult elephant fell into a well and became trapped near the village of Birtola in the Sundargarh district of Odisha. Without help, he would die there. But locals have banded together to join forces with forest and fire departments to help save the magnificent beast.
The firefighters provided their long ropes to put around the elephant, and a large branch was used to secure it along the way. After about two hours, all the hard work paid off as the elephant walked away freely and unharmed!
It was truly a community effort, and no one was about to give up until the elephant was saved. The joy you hear when they finally take it out says a lot about the love and respect they have for these animals. So amazing to see!
