The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, was driving on a rural road in England when he came across a car that had broken down on the side of the road. As he pulled over to offer assistance, he was surprised to see none other than Queen Elizabeth II sitting in the driver’s seat.
The man, who was a mechanic by trade, quickly got to work fixing the car and was amazed by the queen’s knowledge of the vehicle. She told him that she had been driving the car for years and even showed him some of the modifications she had made to it.
The man was struck by the queen’s down-to-earth attitude and her willingness to help. He told The Times, “It was an amazing experience. She was so kind and humble, and I was just in awe of the fact that I was helping the queen of England fix her car.”
After he finished repairing the car, the queen thanked him and drove off, leaving the man with a memorable experience he would never forget. The man said he always thought of the queen as a distant figure, but after that encounter he realized that she was just like anyone else, who needs help sometimes.

According to Goddard, he and his parents were walking at Holkham, Norfolk when they saw a Range Rover with a horsebox stuck in the mud. As they approached to help, they realized that the driver of the vehicle was none other than the Queen herself.
Goddard wrote that the Queen rolled down the window, shook her car phone, and asked for their assistance to push the vehicle out of the mud. The family obliged, and the Queen was able to drive off without saying thank you. Goddard also mentioned that he had met the Queen on several occasions in the past, but each time it was a brief “Hello your majesty” with a smile and nod from her.
