One such kind person was Elvis Summers, a Los Angeles resident who noticed a homeless woman sleeping in the dirt in front of his house. Elvis has decided to do something nice for this lady and she is going to love it.

Erin “Smoky” McGee is a homeless woman living on the streets of Los Angeles since her husband died and lost her home 10 years ago.

The 60-year-old collected recycling every day to sell so she could buy food and spend the night sleeping on the floor.

Most of the time, she slept in front of a building where one of the residents befriended her and learned her story.

“It’s a human being, a 60-year-old mother and grandmother sleeping in the dirt, that’s not true,” local resident Elvis Summers said.

Elvis and Eren became friends, and the young man, who couldn’t stand seeing Eren sleeping on the streets every night, decided to do something to help him – he built him a house.

The good neighbor bought $500 worth of lumber, had a local company donate sides and roofs, and used the building experience he had built a house for her.

“I just wanted to build something that was safe and secure enough to make you feel warm and comfortable.”

Only five days later, Irene had a roof over her head.

“I felt great, I was very comfortable, and I think I should be sleeping half the day,” Erin said of her first night in her new 3.5ft by 8ft home.
