As commuters in New York headed home from work on the subway, a noise at one of the stops instantly captured their attention. Sure, they are used to hear buskers in subway stations. But this subway singer was totally different, there was something unique about his voice.
Mike Yung has been singing in the subway for 30 years, but went super viral when this video of him singing the Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody appeared on YouTube—racking up an explosive 40 million views in a week.
Singing a stunning rendition of “Unchained Melody,” the subway singer envelopes the busy passengers with his haunting sound. The busy New Yorkers can be seen slowing down, forgetting about their worries for a brief moment as they let themselves get lost in the music.

This amazing performance totally exploded online, so much so that James Corden saw it and loved it so much he invited the unknown singer on to his show which has previously hosted performances by the likes of The Kills, One Direction and Sting.
