Speaking to People, Anari said, “I’m shocked and heartbroken” by Zuri Rose’s appearance. When Anari arrived at daycare, Zuri Rose was sitting alone and not acting like a happy happy child. Anari was even more upset that Zuri Rose’s injuries didn’t match any of the stories the staff told her.
According to People magazine, after being recovered, Anari Zuri Rose was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where doctors, after a CT scan and X-ray, diagnosed her with a mild concussion. Anari reported the incident to the police and it is currently being investigated by Child Protective Services and the Special Victims Unit.
As Anari patiently waits for the results of the investigation, she nevertheless expresses her frustration with the daycare staff. After paying $800 a month at the center, Anari told People she believes center staff failed to provide Zuri Rose with the care she needed to stay safe. The young mother also believes that the center should be criminally prosecuted or closed because of what happened to her daughter.
