The South China Morning Post reported that flight attendants tried to warn the woman not to tamper with the escape door.
Despite these warnings, the woman was very stubborn and turned the lever to open the hatch and make herself more comfortable. Passengers and flight attendants reacted with shock to this strange behavior.
A video is available online showing this incident as passengers witnessed these strange occurrences.
The flight crew immediately reported it to the police. The officers reacted quickly. They boarded the plane and took the woman to the police station.
The flight that was supposed to take off at 3:45 p.m. that afternoon ended up being delayed due to the strange crash. The woman had delayed the plane an hour.
After the woman was taken off the plane, the door had to be closed again and another security check had to be carried out before the plane could take off.
The plane finally departed and reached its destination after an hour and a half. It is not known if the woman will be charged with a crime. China’s Public Security Administration Penal Code states that passengers who cause damage to the plane can be detained for up to 15 days.
