Hope For Paws received a text message on her emergency line about a cat stuck in a car engine. The woman was driving unknowingly, but someone’s poodle started barking to alert him to the kitten.
Eldad was trying to grab the cat from below, but there was no way to get it out. They erected fences to secure the area, but there was not enough to get around the car, and the cat ran and hid under another car.

They checked car after car until they finally found the kitten. Then they spent several minutes knocking on every door in the neighborhood trying to find the owner of the car for help. The hood popped out, and the cat sat there!
The cat was appropriately named Axle and brought back to the hospital for a bath. Now free of oil and grease, Axle resides in Cat Connection Los Angeles while he waits to find his forever home.
