4-year-old Maya suffered from cerebral palsy her whole life and could not walk on her own.
The family bought her a puppy from the Abby family years ago, which is arguably the biggest support in a girl’s life.
The dog stands next to her at every step, and little Maya can’t imagine her life without her. Abby also has a “fault,” but that has never stopped her from doing what she wants. Abby lost her front leg.
This only cemented the trust between the pup and the girl Maya. Abby has always helped with many of the treatments and encouraged Maya to try to walk with every step they take together.
Today, the little girl took her first steps on her own and her parents posted a video on the web.
