A dog shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, has learned that a mother dog with five dogs is taking refuge in a dilapidated building in the middle of nowhere. Despite her illness, the mother did everything to take care of her young and keep them alive.
The canine family had no food or water and lived in the worst conditions. There were only old bags filled with sand and cement. The mother was calm and seemed to realize that help had finally arrived. The 2 year old dog and the 1 month old puppies were loaded and returned to the bath.
The mother had a severe case of demodectic mange and had lost much of her hair. Puppies also had a mild form. Medicated baths will kill the parasites and put them on the right track to heal their wounds and restore their hair. The dog family will continue treatment and rehabilitation before they are finally put up for adoption. Their lives were saved thanks to the Mladenovac Dog Shelter!
