Deputy Soto and Sergeant Rose of the Lee County Florida Sheriff’s Office were about to finish after answering a call and getting back into the patrol car when they saw something standing outside the door of the driver’s side. It was a dog that seemed lost.
The pup was friendly and happy to see the officers. The dog was wearing a collar and appeared to be asking for help as he was lost.
The cops thought the dog might be hungry, so Deputy Solo gave Hank (the dog’s name after his collar) the rest of his dinner. When the police car door opened, the dog jumped out!
The dog was very grateful for the food and the kindness. There was an address on Hank’s collar, so officers brought the puppy home and reunited him with his family.
It turns out that Hank wasn’t gone for long and his owners didn’t even realize he was away. But this good dog was smart enough to know how to ask the cops to help him find his family. Amazing!
