The police officer, who lives and works in Missouri, took to Facebook to speak about his touching incident. He wrote that he had a lot of hatred fueled by race, color, and sexual preference. Officer Holt regularly interacts with men and women in public. Although he had seen many terrible things, this particular experience was fortunately not one of them. In fact, it touched his heart so much that he had to find out more about the young man and his family.
It’s because he saw a little black teenager get out of a truck while it was raining. the reason? To help an old white lady get to her car. He grabbed his jacket over her and protected her as best he could as he walked back to his car. “He then went back to his car the whole time without saying a word to his aunt or mother when he got out or back in,” Officer Holt wrote.
Holt decided to stop the truck after witnessing such a great act of kindness. Of course, the driver, the teen’s mother, was a bit concerned about why she had been arrested. However, she soon started crying after hearing what Officer Holt had to say about her son.
“I told his mum she was great with him and I hope and pray he goes somewhere else. I started crying, because I was a cop and I took the time to tell him about what I saw,” Holt wrote on Facebook. .
The message he posted on Facebook quickly went viral. A member of the teenager’s family contacted the police station and arranged a meeting between Constable Holt and 14-year-old Tera. The proud officer took them to dinner at the local Red Lobster to thank him for his incredible kindness, FOX reports.
