An armed thief thought he would commit the perfect crime when he pointed a gun at his taxi driver. The heinous crime was fully captured on a dash cam in the cabin.
The suspect yelled at the driver, “Give me all your money, man! Give me all you’ve got!”
WFMZ reports that the attempted armed robbery occurred in Reading, Pennsylvania, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday.
“We can do it the easy or the hard way, put your hands where I can see them,” the suspect told the driver. “I need everything now if you don’t want to die.”
The taxi driver tried to explain that he had just started his shift and he did not have much money.
When the crime unfolded, none of the men in the taxi noticed the Berks County Police Patrol car sitting directly behind them.
The deputy turned on his flashing lights and got out of his car to approach the taxi.
The panicked taxi driver stopped amid the chaos and said, “There’s a policeman behind us.”
The deputy pulled out his weapon and ordered the suspect out of the car.
“Oh my God, you are a lifesaver,” the taxi driver said to the deputy.
Victor Heria, 18, was arrested and imprisoned on numerous charges, including theft and terrorist threats.
