Clidson Mathias de Oliveira discovered the animal while driving down a lonely road. The poor armadillo stands in the middle of the road, which was too risky, according to The Dodo. The chances of being hit by a car are imminent for any stray animal on the road. Clidson thinks something was wrong.
Why would an armadillo put himself in such a precarious position? Perhaps the animal was in trouble somehow and called for help. Clidson elected to stop the car and investigate. It turned out that he had done the little animal a huge service.
Cledson told The Dodo: “The armadillo stood like he was asking for something. I think he was asking for help. I stopped the car immediately, without thinking twice.”
Clidson couldn’t ignore the temperature, which seemed warmer than usual. Forest fires raged through the area, which also contributed to an undesirable climate. Clidson speculated that all of these factors could have made the little armadillo thirsty. It is possible that the animal was dehydrated, given its condition. So, Clydson did the human thing by providing the animal with water.
“He drank the water with great desire,” Cledson said. “He was really happy [because I quit]. I could feel it right now.”
The armadillo drinks water and then from the cup. The animal does not show fear of its human friend, rarely thinks about the caution of some animals. “I think he understood that I was there to help him,” commented Cledson. “Normally people in armor wouldn’t let humans near them. He was magical and unique.”
After the little armadillo finished drinking water, The Dodo reported that he continued to stay near Cledson for a short time, showing he was grateful and also trusted him not to hurt him. .
Hopefully the armadillo will continue to find a water source after that. It’s possible that the water Clydson gave him restored some of the armadillo’s power, which could help the creature on its journey to its destination.
