Viviana sustained burns over 19% of her body and was in a coma for months after the fire. And although doctors warned Erica that the little girl might suffer brain damage and other complications, Boremsky continued to pray for a miracle. Soon the swelling decreased and Viviana woke up.

The family created a GoFundMe page and raised more than $42,000 to help with hospital bills and other damages from the fire.

Viviana has had many skin grafts, but she is alive and well thanks to the heroic sacrifice of one adorable dog named Polo.
