Anil Prabhakar was with friends on a safari in Borneo when he came across an unusual act of kindness. There in the sheltered forest, he saw a wild orangutan reaching out and reaching out to a man standing in the midst of the snake infested waters.
It turns out the man was a ranger for an organization called Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, and was in the process of removing snakes from the area to help protect the orangutans. But this particular president thought the man might need a helping hand.
Anil saw the man reject the orangutan’s hand and pull away and asked him why. Since it was a wild animal and not an animal they were familiar with, the director said he couldn’t take the monkey on his show. But the man continued his work to protect the local orangutan.
But what sweetness! It shows how intelligent and compassionate animals can be.
