Liberty loves a chandelier that claims to be a female named Lumiere, possibly named after the famous candelabra from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. But Lumiere isn’t Liberty’s only rigid lover; She claims that they have an “open relationship” and allegedly rooted in romantic relationships with other lighting fixtures as well.
“I am determined to throw this commitment party, to prove that I am here for Lumiere and that my love will continue,” she told The Mirror.
“I know a lot of people think my attraction to chandeliers is weird, but I’m not crazy!” She continued, “I’ve been polishing the lumiere most nights to make sure it looks its best, too.”
Freedom is defined as an ‘objective sexuality’, i.e. a person who is attracted to things. Health Guidance.org describes objective sexuality (OS) as “an unusual psychological phenomenon in which an individual feels strong affection toward a particular inanimate object—for all intents and purposes falling in love with an object that might be a particular table, train or door.”
She continued, “I am not harming anyone by entering into a relationship with [inanimate objects], I simply follow my heart.”
It’s worth noting that “Liberty” was not the nickname she got at birth, but rather the nickname she got from a previous relationship with the Statue of Liberty. According to the publication, Amanda was deeply in love with the statue, or “Libby” as she calls it, but the long distance made it difficult to continue the relationship.
Liberty insists, “People often don’t understand that this is just a natural tendency for me.” “I do this in the hope that people will understand our love, and if they don’t, maybe they can at least accept it.”
