The Indiana-born couple were a little confused at first, but upon opening the box, they were very surprised.
The contents of the box contained a message from a complete stranger wishing them good luck in their upcoming nuptials.
The person who sent the letter was a member of the Felker family from Illinois, hundreds of miles from Indiana. It came up while recording Chuck and Mary’s marriage with a simple Google search.
Not only did the box contain a written letter, but there was also a gift inside – a gift so unexpected and fortuitous that it sent shivers all over Mary.

Chuck Ness and Mary Hall were just days away from becoming husband and wife, and their wedding was scheduled to take place on January 20, 2018.
Everything about this special day was going according to plan for the couple from Evansville, Indiana.
A few days before I linked acquaintance, an unusual package arrived in the mail.
When Mary came home from work that day, she noticed the mysterious box on the kitchen table.
Chuck was waiting for Mary to come back to open the box together and see what’s inside.
It turns out that a family from Illinois sent the mysterious box. The Felker family found Chuck and Mary’s file online by doing a simple Google search.
The letter read: ‘Your names were the first in the search results to be married in 2018. Through our ‘detective work’ through the marriage registry, we have found an address to send this gift to.
The Felker family revealed that Chuck and Mary share the same names with their deceased parents from La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The common names inspired the Felker family to send the mysterious box with a letter and a gift to Chuck and Mary before their wedding.
In the letter, they congratulate Chuck and Mary on their upcoming special day.
“We opened the letter, and he started reading this letter, and when he started reading, I got goosebumps and goosebumps all over the place,” Mary said.
“Keep reading…and I was just shocked.”
The box also contained a very sentimental gift.
“We kindly wish to accept the engraved champagne glasses that belonged to our late parents,” the letter read.
The Felker family member who wrote the letter revealed that their late parents, Chuck and Mary Felker, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, had been married for 62 years.
They attached a small photo of the little lovebirds at the bottom of the message.
Mary was over the moon in a beautiful pair of vintage glasses with a custom Felker engraving.
The inscription says: Let me dance with you forever, Mary and Chuck
Chuck and Mary plan to wear beautiful glasses on their wedding day.
But that was not the end of the strange coincidences.
Mary noticed the mugs were sent in an inverted shoebox.
I’m like, ‘No way! “
These were the shoes Marie and her bridesmaids planned to wear under their wedding dresses!
Now, what are the chances of that happening?
Mary and Chuck have decided to invite the Felker family to their wedding but have yet to hear back.
They hope to meet Felker one day in the near future.
The future husband and wife have revealed that when their daughter Lily gets married in the future, they will send glasses of champagne to another couple with the same name.
It’s amazing how two families can be linked by incredible coincidences and simple acts of kindness, possibly starting a tradition that will last forever.
