In 2013, a group made a special visit to the Mount Olivet Senior Care Center, aiming to pleasantly surprise and pamper the residents for a day.
Often, our elderly loved ones find themselves in retirement homes, where they may be overlooked or forgotten by family members. Some seniors don’t have family visits at all. This initiative sought to grant them a day where they could be treated with the utmost care and attention, akin to royalty.
The sheer delight on their faces during this unexpected day of pampering is evident. The volunteers dedicated a day from their busy lives to create immense joy for others.
Life keeps us occupied with jobs, family responsibilities, children, and personal hobbies. It’s easy to forget about those who may be in need around us. However, taking just one day every now and then to extend kindness could entirely transform someone else’s life
